If you hadn’t already guessed, I’m a Brandon Sanderson fan. One of his “Secret Projects” books was Tress of the Emerald Sea. And I, of course, had to dress up as our protagonist.

We got official art from Howard Lyon, which is amazing! I did not want to do all the ruching on the dress, so I bought on on Amazon. I added the brown tie to it, only sewing it across the front and part of the side so that it could still stretch, and added some stiff Pellon interfacing between two pieces of yellow fabric which I sewed onto a headband. Found a gorgeous wig on Amazon and wore it with a pair of my shorter boots. I think it turned out amazing!

Apparently I still look good as a blonde. (I turned brunette as a teenager.)
